Warren and Gibson Pennants 2024
Sunday saw our Warren and Gibson Pennants teams play host to MacArthur Grange here at home for the first round in 2024. To kick the day off the boys had Leonay's Men's Club Captain Adam Brennen going over the local rules and as is customary at Leonay, offering the honour on the first tee to the opposition. Men's President Les Knox was also there to inspire the lads and offer his best wishes.
The Warren team were fortunate enough to not only win at home, but start the season with a 3-0 win giving the boys an early lead on the table.
The Gibson team while unlucky to go down 2-1 showed great tenacity with the two unlucky groups forcing the opposition to take Leonay to the 17th and 18th holes. They didn't go down without a fight and they're are hoping to return the "favour" next round.
Thanks to all the caddies who were there to help out, thanks to Bill Brace and his lovely wife for providing the best sausage sangers and thanks to the supporters that came out to show their support for Leonay.
