Warren and Gibson Pennants
Round 4 Update
from Wallacia GC.
On Sunday 11th August, the Leonay Teams travelled to Wallacia in the return match on their home turf.
The Leonay Warren Pennants team managed a 2-1 victory over Wallacia which has pushed the boys to the top of their table. With one match win and two draws away from home, it was a very welcome haul of section and match points to add to the table. But they cannot be complacent and need to look to win their next two matches to guarantee a place in the quarter finals.
The Leonay Gibson Team were very happy to be able to come away with a draw for 1½ match points and ½ a section point to add to their spot on the table. While it means that unfortunately they wont be able to make the finals from here, they showed that typical Leonay "never say die" attitude making sure they didn't let the opposition get the better of them on the day.
There are only 2 more rounds to go, both rounds against Brighton Lakes. Next Sunday 18th August, Leonay will host Brighton Lakes in both the Warren and Gibson Pennants event so if you're able to, come out for the day and cheer the guys on and help them bring home victory.
